【122cc太阳成集团物理化学学术报告】Organometallic Catalyst Design beyond Molecules

报告摘要

The design of organometallic catalysts based on new concepts has the potential to revolutionize synthetic chemistry. This presentation discusses our recent works on the development of metal catalysts beyond simple molecules, utilizing the macroscopic reaction spaces created by organic polymers, supramolecules, and organic-inorganic hybrid materials. Specifically, we newly synthesized the polystyrene-cross-linking phosphines for selective formation of metal/ligand 1:1 complexes,1 insulated π--conjugated bipyridines featuring an extended π-conjugated system and remote steric effects,2 and organic-inorganic hybrid supramolecular catalysts for small-molecule transformation.3,4 These strategies enabled efficient molecular transformations that were difficult to achieve with existing catalysts.
